Natural Beauty Council Awards Presented

The Fond du Lac County Natural Beauty Council presented their annual Beautification Awards at Tuesday night’s County Board meeting. Altogether there were 16 winners. Among the historic homes that were honored were; the Thomas and Jane Andrew Ballon Home in Fond du Lac, the Frank and Deb Dorn or Historic Ebert Home in Fond du Lac, Gary and Kate Flohr Home in Fond du Lac, Beverly and Robert Kloos Home in Rosendale, the Keith and Sharon Krohn Farm in Rosendale, John and Jeanne McDowell Home in Fond du Lac, the Patty Percy Home in Eden, and the Ed and Lynn Schneider Home in Fond du Lac. Some commercial properties were also honored including; Breezy Hills Campground in Fond du Lac, the Garten Factory in Fond du Lac, Red Cabin at Green Acres Bar & Supper Club in Fond du Lac, Whispering Springs Golf Course and Banquet Facility in Fond du Lac, and the Zacherl Funeral Home in Fond du Lac. Other notable winners included; the Byron Historical Society for their Yellowstone Trail Markers, Shepherd of the Hills Church and School in Eden and the Welcome 4-H Club was honored for their flower bed at the welcome sign in Eden at the corner of County Highways B and V. The Council honors outstanding efforts that contribute to beautification and preservation through landscaping and outside property improvements.
