Neenah Man Arrested For Winnebago County Crash

The State Patrol arrested a 24-year-old Neenah man following a high speed chase in Winnebago County Friday night. After fleeing from attempted traffic stops in Oshkosh and Neenah the driver, Joseph Buhrer, left I-41 and crashed into a concrete wall on the County Highway BB exit. He got out of the car and fled on foot. The 23-year-old woman who was a passenger climbed into the driver’s seat and drove to a nearby gas station. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following an anonymous tip Buhrer was taken into custody Saturday night at a trailer park in Greenville. He was arrested on three outstanding warrants and was taken to the Winnebago County Jail. Eluding an officer, recklessly endangering safety, marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession charges are pending against him.
