Negative COVID-19 Tests Approaching 33k In FDL County

The weekend proves to be a challenging time, when it comes to accurate COVID-19 reporting. The Fond du Lac County Health Department does not update any information on their dashboard after 2:00 pm Friday, with the weekend update typically not available until Monday afternoon. According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services dashboard, which is updated seven days a week, as of Sunday morning, it shows Fond du Lac County with an increase of 54 positive cases since Friday afternoon. The DHS site shows the county currently has reported 6,989 positive cases since the start of March, with negative tests now sitting at 32,536 . DHS is also reporting total deaths in the county at 34. Statewide, the numbers showed a slight dip on Saturday as well, with 5,146 new coronavirus cases confirmed, as well as another 181 patients being admitted to hospitals across the state, due to complications with the virus. There were almost 19,000 tests processed on Saturday.
