Negative COVID-19 Tests Now At 15,660 In FDL County

While there hasn’t been a huge rise in daily COVID-19 testing, the daily positive case counts continue to jump. The latest numbers released Thursday from Fond du Lac County Public Health shows another 20 cases confirmed, bringing the county total to 735. Active cases also jumped by 14, now standing at 187. Recovered cases are now 540, with 9 people currently hospitalized. There were also 141 negative tests reported on Thursday, bringing the county total to 15,660. It took the county almost 4 months to reach 288 cases; now, FDL County has reported 288 cases in just the past four weeks. 


After dropping to the second lowest number of cases since June, Thursday’s COVID-19 numbers for Wisconsin are back up.


The Department of Health Services reported 943 – or 7.6 percent – of 12,415 new test results came back positive Thursday, compared with just 478 new confirmed cases and a positive test rate of 4.8 percent on Wednesday. The seven-day average of 775 new cases per day is down from 810 a week ago. DHS listed seven new deaths, bringing to the total to 1,018 lives lost in Wisconsin.


Forty-five new hospitalizations bring the current number of hospitalized COVID patients to 364, with 111 in intensive care.
