The information technology manager for the City of Fond du Lac believes the City has a secure network. Dave Zittlow says they work with a lot of personal data so the City spends a lot of money to maintain its infrastructure to make sure that information is protected. He says they made their network secure enough that it won’t be an easy target for hackers. Zittlow says hackers usually go for the low hanging fruit and he doesn’t believe the City is that low hanging fruit. Zittlow says information they collect on people is for example for billings, tax data for parcel ownership and assessments. He says all of that information needs to be protected.
