New Assistant Principal Hired For FDL High School

The Fond du Lac School Board Monday night approved the hiring of Steven Hernandez as an assistant principal at the high school. District Superintendent Jim Sebert says Hernandez grew up in Fond du Lac and graduated from Goodrich High School in 1989. He says Hernandez was one of 67 applicants. He says most recently Hernandez was a site director in the graduate teacher certification program at Concordia University. Prior to being with Concordia University Hernandez was a new teacher mentor and also taught for seven years at Sun Prairie High School. Sebert says Hernandez will be a good fit at the high school. The board also approved $11 million in short term borrowing to fund the district for the beginning of the school year.
