A jury trial will be rescheduled as a Columbia Correctional inmate who threatened the life of the Fond du Lac County District Attorney seeks new counsel. The lawyer for James Luke, Katherine Findley, has withdrawn from the case that was supposed to go to trial on October 12th. According to the criminal complaint, the 29-year-old Luke sent a letter to Toney in March of last year while Luke was a Waupun Correctional inmate. The letter said, referring to Toney, that there was a “target on his head that said death.” Luke said that he would eventually have his time overturned and beat pending charges and when he is released he would personally decapitate Toney.  Luke has a long history as a habitual offender.
