New Executive Director For UW FDL Foundation

The UW-Fond du Lac Foundation has a new executive director. Tom Perry is originally from the south side of Chicago. He went to Beloit College and stayed in Wisconsin. Recently he and his wife became empty nesters. More recently they lived in the Lake Geneva area, but he is finding Fond du Lac to his liking. He says, “We love it there is a lot to do here. Believe it or not in the Lake Geneva area there is not very much to do, it takes an hour to get anywhere. In this part of the state if you want to go do something fun it is ten minutes to the theater, it is ten minutes to a major store and it is a great opportunity.” As Foundation Executive Director he will oversee the school’s scholarship program. One of his first tasks was to help organize the annual Corks & Forks fundraiser for the foundation. He says he appreciates the help he got with that. He says, “The community and the people as part of the campus all pitched in to help out knowing that I wouldn’t be able to do it alone and that is one of the best things about this campus is the group that comes together to help you as a whole.” Perry has spent the last 32 years in executive leadership at non-profit organizations throughout the state mainly in the human services area.
