New FDL City Council Member Being Sworn In Tonight

New Fond du Lac City Councilman Greg Giles will be sworn into office during the City Council’s meeting tonight. Giles will finish out the term of Dan Manning who resigned. That term runs until next April. Also during the meeting the Council will be asked to approve a municipal agreement for the Highway 151 and County Highway V interchange project that starts next year. The Council will also consider allowing the Police Department to apply for a federal grant for just under $19,000 ($18,744) that will allow the department to buy some equipment. Wastewater Superintendent John Leonard will be honored with a proclamation for his 30 years of service to the City. Leonard retires on Friday. The Council meets at 6 p.m. at the City-County Government Center.
