New Holstein Man Due Back In Court Oct. 1 For Fatal Stabbing

A 40-year-old New Holstein man is headed to trial for a fatal stabbing in Manitowoc last month. Craig W. Holtz appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Wednesday morning for a preliminary hearing over what authorities believe was a “drug deal gone bad”. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Holtz remains in the County Jail and is due back in court for an arraignment hearing October 1st. Investigators have yet to identify the 32-year-old man who was killed.
