New Playground Equipment At Hamilton Park Will Be In By End Of The Summer

Children may have the chance yet this summer to enjoy once again playing on playground equipment at Hamilton Park. An arson fire on May 12th destroyed the equipment. The City has received over $11,000 in donations to help with replacement costs. Parks Superintendent John Kiefer says B.C.I. Burke in Fond du Lac is designing and creating the equipment. He says they will be approving the design in the next few days. He says there’s no set time line for when the equipment will be installed in the park. However, he says it will be useable yet this summer. Kiefer says donations and insurance money will pay for the equipment. The City Council Wednesday night honored those who donated toward the playground equipment with a proclamation. Not able to attend were Charmaine Luczak and Justin Graef of JaM Chocolates who also gave to the equipment fund.
