New Sentencing For Man Who Lied About Infant’s Death

A new sentencing hearing has been scheduled for a former Campbellsport man charged with obstruction for lying about circumstances surrounding the death of his infant son. Twenty-year-old Mitchell Towne and 20-year-old Victoria Jarowski were both charged with obstruction for lying about death of their 4-month-old baby boy Greyson on July 7th. Both pled “no contest” to the charges and were sentenced to a year of probation. Towne’s conviction was vacated about a week after his sentencing in September and a new sentencing hearing has been scheduled for next September 24th. He’s now living in Illinois. Jarowski now lives in West Bend. The couple originally told Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials they had watched movies all night, but it turned out they’d smoked pot and went to bed about 6 a.m. that morning discovering the infant’s body about 11:30 that morning. The baby was found dead with a pillow on his head.
