New Trial Scheduled For FDL Woman Who Allegedly Tried To Kill Daughter

The 27-year-old Fond du Lac woman who was serving time at Taycheedah Correctional for allegedly trying to kill her 6-year-old daughter will have a new trial. Recently Kenna Bowe withdrew the “no contest” plea after successfully appealing the 14 year sentence based on the argument that the sleeping pills she gave to her daughter wouldn’t have been fatal.   Also during the night of the incident her 28-year-old boyfriend awoke to find her sitting on his chest with a butcher knife pointed down at him. He suffered cuts to his hands. She was upset about losing her job and believed her boyfriend was breaking up with her. Her lawyer has filed a motion to dismiss the charges saying she was a victim of ‘vindictive prosecution.’ A motion hearing is set for April 30th. A four-day jury trial has been scheduled to begin on August 4th. Bowe is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $200,000 cash bond.
