NFDL Man Arrested Following Sunday Night High Speed Pursuit

A North Fond du Lac man has been arrested following a Sunday night vehicle pursuit.

A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop Sunday evening about 7:20 p.m. on Hwy. 151 and Thill Rd, near Oakfield. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and continued north on 151, increasing speed before turning north onto Camelot Dr. in the city limits of Fond du Lac.

Once the deputy was able to obtain the license plate number, the chase was terminated. The vehicle was then located by another deputy on Main St., where a 2nd stop was attempted, with the suspect vehicle ignoring the lights and sirens, continuing the chase on Marr St., Merrill Ave., and Amory St. before the pursuit was again terminated.

Deputies were able to identify a potential suspect, and located the vehicle at the residence, where they took a 23-year old North Fond du Lac man into custody on charges of Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, two counts of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and a Probation and Parole Warrant. Both pursuits covered 9 miles and there were no injuries or property damage reported.
