NFDL School Board Holds Special Meeting Tonight

The North Fond du Lac School Board will hold a special meeting this evening to discuss possible changes to the masking policy currently in place for the district. The agenda can be downloaded here:

NFDL School District Superintendent Aaron Sadoff said in an email that the main goal is to keep students and staff in school and to stay open. Sadoff says they have seen significant symptoms of COVID-19 in staff and believe the transmission was in school when masks were not worn.

Sadoff also cited the recommendation from District Nurse Bridgett Armstrong who has strongly recommended temporary face coverings based on the information she is seeing and hearing with staff as well as within the North Fond du Lac Community. You can read Doctor’s letter here as well as the recommendation from the FDL County Health Department:

Superintendent Sadoff said he did not want to have virtual or blended learning this year, but rather wants to keep the schools staffed and open. The masking policy changes, if approved, would require masks on students and teachers indoors, and would be in effect until September 27, with a review to be held at that time.

The meeting is set to get underway at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
