NFDL School District Continues Budget Process

The School District of North Fond du Lac is continuing their
work on the 2019-2020 district budget. The School Board discussed and
considered the initial adoption of the budget and tax levy at their meeting
Monday night. The district is still waiting on key pieces of data regarding
total student enrollment, property values and total amount of state aid, but
Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says all signs point to the budget being very
positive for the district. “What all our indicators are is that we’re looking
really, really strong in North Fond du Lac,” Sadoff said. “Our enrollment looks
to be up, which means that we have more revenue coming in, we’ve added quite a
few staff – and there’s still some other needs we have, but it looks like we’re
going to be coming in pretty much at even – knowing that we might be able to do
a couple of other things to invest more in our schools.” Sadoff says the number
of students that open-enroll into the district also remains high, which means
additional aid for the district. Final approval and authorization of the budget
will be made in late October.
