NFDL Schools Holding Open House, Grand Opening Ceremony for Friendship Learning Center This Week

It’s an important week for the School District of North Fond du Lac, as they will be showing off the improvements to the new “World of Friendship” – also known as Friendship Learning Center with an open house tonight, and will host a grand opening ceremony Friday morning. Tonight’s open house runs from 5:30 until 7:30 at the school. Visitors are asked to park in the west parking lot off of Prospect Avenue. The self-guided tour will begin at the new entry to the school, and will give a glimpse of the completed addition and the renovation work that is currently underway.

The Grand Opening Ceremony will be held Friday at 10 am in the new school gym. “We want to let everyone know – Friendship Learning Center has evolved and the School District of North Fond du Lac is proud to serve our community,” Superintendent Aaron Sadoff said. “We have an amazing facility that was a gift from our community and we’re ready to make it continually grow.” Sadoff adds that the early reaction to the new building has been overwhelmingly positive from both students and staff. “Every kid that you ask – ‘how do you like your new space?’ – they love it. The ability for teachers to be close and collaborate with each other, the flexible furniture that’s in those spaces, our gym – we’ve got a great walking track – there’s just so many different things that now our kids and our staff can do to help students learn.”
