NFDL Superintendent, Board President Issue Statement On School Board Resignations

The Superintendent of the North Fond du Lac School District has released a statement regarding the multiple resignations that were turned in Wednesday. Aaron Sadoff said “we are sorry to lose two great board members.”

Shawn Pollack and Paula Stettbacher, two of the five members of the School District of North Fond du Lac Board of Education have resigned their seats.

Paula was originally appointed to the Board in October of 2018 and won her first election in April of 2019. She serve just under four years as a Board member and as Board Treasurer. Paula brought a lens of equity, capacity development and focus on kids in her years of service.

Shawn was elected in April of 2018 and was entering his second term and 4th year on the Board. Shawn is an alumni from the District and brought great insight, dedication to our kids and passion to his position.

Board President Pete Chisholm states, “Yesterday two members of the board of education resigned from the board. I would like to thank Shawn Pollack, and Paula Stettbacher for their service to the district, especially during the extremely challenging previous year and a half. They were dedicated and passionate about education in our schools and will be missed. The board will discuss the
process to fill the vacant seats at it’s next regular board meeting.”

Aaron Sadoff superintendent stated, “We are sorry to lose two great board members who have shown courage and strength to our District. I am very thankful for their service and know it will be difficult to replace their passion, expertise and dedication. Losing Paula and Shawn is a big loss to our Board and District.”
