NFDL Village Administrator Finalists Down To Three

Two of the three finalists for the North Fond du Lac Village Administrator’s position come from within the Village. John Duffy served on the Village Board as a trustee and is a former North Fond du Lac School Board President. Nick Leonard is the Village’s Director of Engineering and Planning. The third finalist David DeTroye is from Kiel and has experience working for municipal government including serving as a public works director. Current North Fond du Lac Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says a representative from a search firm helped prepare candidate profiles. He says. “Trying to learn as much as he could about all of those candidates that he felt you know, well those seven and based on that candidate profile presented to the Village Board and the Village Board reviewing those profiles decided on these three candidates.” The next step will be Village staff doing a meet and greet with the three finalists on March 23rd. Hornung says, “Once they have met all three of them the group will meet department heads whoever we introduce them to will meet and convey their impressions of these three candidates.” On March 24th the Village Board will interview the three finalists. There were originally 47 applicants for the position.
