NFDL Village Administrator on Johnstone Supply Expansion

Johnstone Supply is set to become the newest addition to
the Northgate Business Park in North Fond du Lac. It was announced earlier this
month that the company will be expanding into a new facility in the business
park in 2020. North Fond du Lac Village Administrator Nick Leonard says it’s a
positive addition for the village. “They’re going to be putting up a 25,000
square foot facility in 2020,” Leonard said. “They’re out of the Milwaukee area,
they have some other locations down there, and they’re expanding to North Fond
du Lac, and we’re very excited to have them there.” Johnstone is currently
leasing a 20,000 square foot space in the City of Fond du Lac as It prepares to
build its new facility.

The business park is located northeast of Interstate 41
and County Highway OO and is currently home to clinics of Agnesian Health Care
and Aurora Health Care, FZE and Side X Side Construction. Leonard says the park
is a TIF (Tax Incremental Financing) District, “which allows us to put in the
infrastructure and take the money that’s created when we get a business like
this, and we can use that to pay off the loans.” Leonard says the TIF expires
in 2023, and has been doing “very well” for the community.
