NFDL Village Administrator Prepared to Step Down

Chuck Hornung will be hanging it up as the North Fond du Lac Village Administrator this week. He has served in the role since 2008 – overseeing a number of improvements to the village, including new additions in the parks.

He says he may be stepping down from his current role – but that doesn’t mean he’s going to disappear from local politics. Hornung tells us “I think I’ve got quite a bit invested in the village and I’ve got some history. I’m not saying that what I’ve done needs to continue, but sometimes you don’t want to repeat something that maybe didn’t work quite as well as everybody had hoped and bring that information to the board. So I plan, probably in spring, to run for a village board position.”

Hornung is being replaced by Nick Leonard, who has been serving as the Village’s Director of Engineering and Planning.
