NFDL Village Board Approves Contracts With Two Police Unions

The North Fond du Lac Village Board approved one-year contracts with its two police unions Monday night. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says the contracts will give two percent pay increases. He says those employees will be paying more towards their retirement. He says the share for employees hired before ACT 10 will be less. He says they will see an increase from 4 percent to a 5.4 percent of the contribution. He says new officers would be paying a 6.8 percent contribution. He says they will also be giving 2 percent increases to their EMS union employees once that contract is approved by the board. He says those employees will be paying 6.8 percent of the contribution towards their retirement. He says there are 6 or 7 employees in that union and all of them were hired after ACT 10. The police contracts affect 11 officers.
