NFDL Village Board Removing Parking Limit Near St. Pauls School

The North Fond du Lac Village Board will be removing a two-hour parking limit for a street next to St. Paul’s School. The sign is just north of McKinley on Chapman Avenue. The Board held the first reading for the ordinance change and a public hearing this week. Village Administrator Chuck Hornung says over the years the school changed where kids are dropped off and picked up at the school so the sign is no longer necessary. He says they contacted a couple of schools before putting together the ordinance change. He says they talked with people at the High School and St. Paul’s neither of which objected to the change. Currently the sign prohibits parking for more than two hours between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on school days. The Village Board will act on the ordinance change at their June 5th meeting.
