Nine Apply For FDL City Council Vacancy

The Fond du Lac City Council will have plenty of people to choose from to fill a vacancy on the Council. Nine people had applied by yesterday afternoon and residents interested in the seat have until 4:30 tomorrow afternoon to apply if they are interested in the seat. Council President Sam Meyer (pictured) says he’s pleased they have so many applicants to choose from. Over the weekend the Council will trim the list of candidates down to six. Those six will be interviewed next Monday afternoon starting at 5 p.m. at the City-County Government Center. The Council is expected to approve the new Council member at their Wednesday, May 22nd meeting. That person will fill what remains of former Council member Jim Sabel’s term, which runs until April 15th of next year. The nine that have applied include; Lynn Farr, Steven Lucero, Christopher Madsen, Stephan Mattsen, Rebecca Lunde-Ross, Ronald Schmitz, Philip Shepherd, Nicholas Stoffel, and Loren Voss.
