No Boom In Oshkosh This 4th Of July

The 4th of July
will be a major dud in
Oshkosh
this year, as the City has announced they will not have any events to celebrate
the day. That includes the parade and the Festival Foods fireworks show. City Manager
Mark Rohloff said, in a press release, that the decision was made after
receiving input from the county health department. “We felt it would be
irresponsible to provide events where social distancing would be problematic.”
There was also concern that, with possibly more events being cancelled around
the area,
Oshkosh would see an even larger
influx of out-of-town visitors that would come to
Oshkosh
