No Christmas Break For COVID In FDL County

While many residents take a much needed break between the Christmas and New Year holidays, there’s been no such break for COVID-19 in Fond du Lac County.

The latest numbers released by the Fond du Lac County Health Department on Monday (12/27/2021) show 211 new confirmed cases of the virus since last Thursday. Total confirmed cases are now at 20,538.

Active cases continue to climb, up 11 to 1,031.

Better news was found with released cases, with 199 reported and bringing the total released case count to 19,331.

Over 1,900 negative tests were also reported on Monday.

Fond du Lac County reported one new death associated with COVID-19, bringing total deaths since the pandemic to 176.

Hospitalizations also rose by one, with now 25 people receiving medical care in the county due to complications from the virus.
