No Decision Yet From State Supreme Court

Friday afternoon came and went, with no decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court, on a Republican lawsuit challenging the extended Safer at Home order from Governor Tony Evers. Right now, it’s a wait and see approach for the Governor, who said “There’s so many moving parts involved with this and it depends on how it’s actually decided. There’s many different ways it can be decided and once we hear, we’ll be able to respond appropriately as to how we move forward.”

The justices heard oral arguments in that legal challenge on Tuesday, and it was widely anticipated that they’d quickly issue a ruling. Republican lawmakers argue Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm exceeded her authority, in extending the order until May 26.
