No One Hurt When Car Hits FDL Restaurant

No one was hurt Thursday afternoon when an SUV lost control in the Oasis Family Restaurant parking lot on North Main Street and hit the base of the building on the southwest corner near an entrance. Police say a 78-year-old Fond du Lac man and his wife were in the SUV. Paramedics checked them out for bumps and bruises and a woman who was sitting in a booth in the restaurant. A building inspector and health department inspector were called. There was some structural damage. The SUV did pushed a wall in by an inch or two. The accident was reported just before 3:30 p.m.

Fond du Lac Fire Captain Jim Knowles says paramedics checked out two people in the vehicle and a restaurant patron who was sitting in a booth in the restaurant when the SUV struck it. A building inspector and health department inspector were called. There was no major structural damage, but the SUV did push a wall in by an inch or two. The accident was reported just before 3:30 p.m.
