No Slowdown Seen In Positive COVID Tests In Fond du Lac County

You always like to go into the weekend on a high note. Unless, of course, you’re the Fond du Lac County Health Department. The Friday numbers showed another 149 new COVID cases, with an additional 127 new active cases. The Friday numbers also showed almost 300 negative tests processed. There were no new hospitalizations, but there were two more deaths reported as a result of the coronavirus. That brings the county total so far to 22.

Over 5,000 new COVID-19 cases, and 24 more deaths were reported in the state on Friday. As the state continues to see climbing COVID-19 cases rates and hospitalizations, Governor Tony Evers has a blunt message.

“If we want to do this right, and stop it in its tracks, people have to wear a freaking mask. Simple as that.”

Department of Health Services Secretary designee Andrea Palm reports another 5,096 new COVID-19 cases and 24 more deaths over the previous 24 hours.
