No Slowing The COVID Roll Locally Or In The State

The temperatures on Wednesday weren’t the only wild swing in the past 24 hours. The latest COVID-19 numbers in Fond du Lac County showed over 170 new confirmed cases, and 116 negative tests (32,073 total). As of Wednesday afternoon, there have now been 6.637 confirmed cases reported in the county. Some good news came in the way of a drop in active cases, down almost 60 on the day, with the county now standing at 1,805. There were almost 230 more recovered cases, which puts Fond du Lac County at 4.801. FDL County reported 2 more deaths, which takes the county total to 31 since the start of the pandemic. 

Statewide, the numbers are not slowing either. Over 17,000 tests were processed on Wednesday, and while 10,424 came back negative, there were over 7.000 positive. Wisconsin reported 62 more deaths, pushing the total deaths to almost 2,500. It’s also important to note that over 219,000 people have recovered from the coronavirus, with Wisconsin now showing a 77% recovery rate among all cases reported.
