NTSB Report On Blimp Crash At US Open

Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board have determined what caused an advertising blimp to crash at the U.S. Open near Hartford on June 15th. According to the NTSB report the outer fabric of the blimp caught fire near some burners. The blimp went down about one mile east of the course at Erin Hills. The pilot was seriously burned, but no one else was hurt.
