NWS Confirms Seven Tornadoes in Area Tuesday

The National
Weather Service has confirmed seven tornadoes touched down in parts of the area
during Tuesday’s storm. A storm survey crew was able to survey southern
portions of Fond du Lac and northern Dodge County
on Wednesday and concluded that five EF-1 tornadoes, one EF-2 tornado and one
EF-0 tornado hit the area. The first EF-1 was reported in the Alto area just
before 4pm. The EF-0 hit south of Oakfield around 4:08 pm, The other EF-1
tornadoes hit near Brownsville
and South Byron between 4:08 and 4:12 pm. The EF-2 tornado also hit near Brownsville, it had winds
estimated at 125 miles per hour and was on the ground for just under four
miles. The weather service says survey crews will be in the area again today
