Agnes M. Sabish

Agnes Marie Sabish, 100, passed away at Villa Loretta Nursing Home in Mount Calvary on May 9, 2018. She was born in Fond du Lac to Rex and Hattie (Leu) Bowers on November 24, 1917. Agnes married Ralph Sabish in Fond du Lac on September 4, 1943. Ralph preceded Agnes in death on December 17, 1998.

Agnes was a wonderful person to have a chat with. She did not complain about her health situation, but found joy – even in the little things. Agnes had a big heart. She was a foster grandparent for many years. Agnes also volunteered at the Mental Health Center through the Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Agnes is survived by five children Karen Schonscheck, Yvonne (James) Behnke, Nancy Matteson, Kathleen Johnson, and Mary Sabish; grandchildren David Schonscheck, Michael (Andi) Matteson, Josh Matteson, Patrick Behnke, Jody (Thelma) Behnke, John (Laura) Behnke, Michele Farvour, and Katie (Michael) Wagner; great grandchildren Jordan, Logan, Masan, Gracie, Kalea, Mariah, Sophia, Robert, Angela, Kimberly, Ryan, Jasmine, Theodore, Alyssa and Megan; great great grandchildren Hunter, Emma, and Sky.

Preceding Agnes in death are her brothers Wilmer and Rex, Jr., her sisters Edna, Sally and Esther, one granddaughter Nicole and one son-in-law Windsor Schonscheck.

A private family service will be held at St. Charles Cemetery.

A special thanks to all the staff and the Sisters at Villa Loretta Nursing Home. They really made it feel like home for Agnes and treated the entire family with compassion and care.
