Albert Joseph Duley

Albert Joseph Duley passed away peacefully after a long illness at Hospice Home of Hope on April 25, 2022. Albert “Joe” Duley was born February 13,1928 to Albert Michael Duley and Leona Mary (Caron) Duley in Hartford, Wisconsin. He was baptized at Holy Hill.

He married Sherry Ann Kirchner on January 28, 1961 at St. Marys Church in Sheboygan Falls. Sherry passed away in 2019 after 58 years of marriage.

Joe had one daughter, Lynette Duley; two grandchildren, Megan (Justin) Warner and Michael (Victoria) Ahrens who had his two great grandsons, Anthony and Elias.

Joe worked a wide variety of occupations in his life. He worked as an orderly at several hospitals. He did automotive repair and auto body work. He did over the road semi-truck driving and owned a trucking company. He worked over 30 years at Giddings and Lewis.

Joe had pigeons and rabbits over the years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a small plane pilot. He gardened and did his own plumbing and electric work. He enjoyed driving and took many trips out west with his wife. He volunteered twenty years at St. Agnes Hospital.

Though he had a sharp tongue, a quick Irish temper and was often a curmudgeon, he worshiped his wife, loved his daughter, adored his grandchildren and great grandchild children and appreciated his niece and nephews. He had fond memories of the time he spent at Giddings and Lewis. Being Catholic was always first and foremost. He was an original member of Sacred Heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
