Allegra Greeno Epstein

Allegra Greeno Epstein, 91, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Millston and Tomah, died Friday, July 11, 2014, at Hospice Home of Hope.

She was born on July 21, 1922, in Grant, Wisconsin, a daughter of Earl and Lillie Shepard Greeno.

Allegra was a graduate of Tomah High School.

She married Robert Clegg at Camp McCoy, who preceded her in death.

She married Max Epstein, in Galena, Illinois, who preceded her in death on October 4, 1987.

She lived in Millston until 1988, and moved to Tomah following her husband’s death.   In 2009, she moved to Fond du Lac to be near her family.

Allegra is survived by her daughter, Denise (Tom) Carlson, of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren:

Kim (Dave) Ross, of Fond du Lac, Andy (Kerry) Carlson, of Champion, Michigan, and Tim (Christie) Carlson, of Racine; four great-grandsons:  Tommy Chitwood, Cody and Jake Carlson, and Max Carlson; two great-granddaughters, Sylvie and Harper Carlson; and one sister, Irene Yanchek, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, three brothers, and six sisters.

There will be no visitation.

Cremation will take place with a graveside service at Brookside Cemetery, Millston, on August 9, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.
