Allen J. Bauman

Allen J. Bauman, 89, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Hospice Home of Hope. Allen was born on April 8, 1932 in Dundee, a son of the late William and Hermina Bauman (nee Plautz). On January 28, 1956, he married Lorraine Wendlandt at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Allen worked as a farmhand for various famers, was a cab driver in Fond du Lac, and eventually began Bauman Dairy which faithfully served the Campbellsport and surrounding vicinities for 38 years, making many friends along the way. He also worked at Tom’s Millwork and Bauman’s Apartment LLC. Faith was very important to Allen. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport. Allen was on the St. John’s Cemetery Board and the Winnebago Lutheran Academy Board. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and collecting beer cans and milk cases.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Lorraine; children, Wayne Bauman, Wendy (Tom) Treleven, John (Michele) Bauman, and Joanne (Duane) Giese; grandchildren, Sara Treleven, Ryan (Leah) Treleven, Molly Treleven, David Ziegel, Justine Ziegel, Derek Giese, Alyssa Giese, Rachel Bauman, and Blair Bauman and numerous great-grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Eli Allen Bauman; sisters, Helen Beffel Torti, and Esther Fiebig (who raised him); and brothers, Arthur, William, Roland and Gilbert.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, W2090 Highway 23, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Mark Barenz will officiate and burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
