Amy L. O’Connor

Amy L. O’Connor, 62, of Waupun went to be with her Lord on
May 6th after a courageous battle with cancer.

 

She was born January 2, 1953 in Madison, WI
to Horace & Audrey Lansdowne. On August 26, 1972 she married her high
school sweetheart Jerry O’Connor at Westwood Christian Church in Madison, WI.
They shared their life together with their two lovely daughters Kelly &
Shannon. Amy was enjoying recent years as being “Mamy” (Grandma) to her
grandchildren Colin & Bridget. Amy was known for her strong faith and love
for the Lord. Amy would frequently throughout her life, be sharing the Lords
love with others. Amy’s smile and welcoming demeanor won the love and trust of
many. Her engaging spirit & sense of humor will never be forgotten. A woman
of faith, with a servant’s heart, Amy shaped many friends and family’s
spiritual experience by her tireless Christian example.  Amy ministered to
many through numerous Church activities, Bible Studies and her 20 year Prison
Ministry she shared with Jerry.

 

Survivors include her best friend/ husband of 42 years Jerry
of Waupun, daughters Kelly (Jeff) Weber of Brownsville, WI and Shannon
(Jason) Schraufnagel of Rozet, WY, her two grandchildren Colin & Bridget
Weber of Brownsville, Special Friend, Linda Ellis of Madison, WI, her mother
Audrey Lansdowne, siblings Susan Lansdowne, Jeff (Deb) Lansdowne, Nancy
Bensheimer, Jeanne (Cary) Brooks, Debbie (Don) Fried & Rob
(Cathy)Lansdowne. She is further survived by her mother-in-law Therese
O’Connor, brother-in-laws Tom (Kathy) O’Connor, Jim (Susie) O’Connor, Dan
(Verene) O’Connor, John (Kathy) O’Connor, Pat (Joan) O’Connor & Terry
(Peggy) O’Connor.

 

In 2000 Amy was preceded in death by her father Horace
Lansdowne and her father-in-law James B. O’Connor; and brother-in-law William
Bensheimer in 2006.

 

A celebration of Amy’s life will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Edgewood Community
Church
, 201 Edgewood Drive, Waupun, WI
Lunch will follow. The interment will follow at Forest Mound
Cemetery
in Waupun. Visitation
will be held at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, 201 East Jefferson St. Waupun,
WI
 on Sunday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of
service.
