Anna C. (Hencke) Freund

Anna C. (Hencke) Freund, 95, of Fond du Lac, passed away December 5, 2012 at Agnesian Healthcare-Hospice Home of Hope.  She was born July 26, 1917 to John and Mary (Guelig) Andrew in Johnsburg.  Anna married Henry Hencke on June 20, 1939.  He preceded her in death on February 18, 1965.  On September 23, 1969, Anna married Ambrose Freund.  He preceded her in death on May 8, 1988.

Anna was a wonderful housekeeper, cook, baker, & seamstress.  For many years at Christmas, she treated family & friends with her famous pineapple Danish.  Anna loved to dance, loved playing cards with relatives and friends, and was an avid Brewer fan.  She loved God and her family.  Anna was a member of the Holy Family Church and NAIM.

Anna is survived by her children: Ron (Audrey) Hencke, Gene (special friend, Jackie Anderson) Hencke, Karen (Gary) Blazer, Dan (Deb) Hencke all of Fond du Lac, and Mike (Michelle) Hencke of Eagle River.  Grandchildren: Wendy (Huey) Hoepfner, Bryan (Tammy) Hencke, Tim (Jody) Hencke, Cary (Nicole) Blazer, Matt Hencke, Jeff (Pamela) Hencke, Carla (Ryan) Reed, Mark (Jennifer) Blazer, & Aaron (Abby) Blazer, Great-Grandchildren: Kyle, Natalie, Caitlyn, Rachel, Allyson, Marin, Ben, Mara, Carson, Tommy, & Annabel; Step-Granddaughter Kaila (fiancé, Jake Chianelli) Zoch; Step-Great-Grandchildren, Ashley & Ryan; and three Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren.  Also surviving are daughter-in-law Mary Jo Hencke, her sister Frances Schoenborn, and other relatives & friends.

Anna is preceded in death by her husbands, son Gerald Hencke, daughter-in-law Carol Hencke, and eight brothers & sisters.

Visitation: Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home on Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.  There is visitation also at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac, on Friday, December 7, 2012, from 9:30 until 10:45 AM.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 7 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to your choice or Agnesian Healthcare Foundation, c/o Hospice.
