Ardis Delaine Hopp

Ardis Delaine Hopp, 75, of Waupun, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 14. 2014.

Ardis was born April 21, 1939 in Alto, the daughter of Garret and Flora Mulder Hofman. On June 22, 1960 she married Harold B. Hopp in Waupun. Ardis was a longtime resident of Waupun, and a member of First Reformed Church of Waupun. Ardis was employed at National Rivet as a secretary until she had children. Ardis was also a daycare provider in her home for 35 years. Children were the light of her life. Ardis enjoyed watching her grandkids’ sports which included hockey, baseball, softball, football, and soccer.

Ardis is survived by her two sons: Daniel L. Hopp and Steven B (Tina) Hopp; three daughters: Patricia (Dan) Vande Zande of Pewaukee, WI, Karla (Jeff) Daane, and Marcia (Bret) Grant, both of Waupun: 11 grandchildren: Jeremy (fiancée Lindsay Nefstead) Hopp, Steve (fiancée Jen Kohl) Hopp, Blaine (special friend Jessica Hoff) Hopp, Stephanie (Alex) Schaver, Corinne (Nate) Grinwald, Corey (fiancée Samantha Radtke) Vande Zande, Katie (Paul) Bloesl, Jordan Daane, Celine, Cierra, and Carl Grant; two great-grandsons: Jacob and Tucker Hopp; and two great-granddaughters: Savannah Hopp and Hayden Schaver.

Ardis was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; two brothers: Henry and Gerald Hofman; and two sisters: Catherine Zoodsma and Annette Kuiper.

Funeral services for Ardis Hopp will be held Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bob James officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-7 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
