Arlyne F. Sielaff-Frank

Arlyne F. Sielaff-Frank, age 104, of Chilton (formerly Hilbert), died on January 27, 2022, at her residence. She was born July 9, 1917, in Hilbert, WI, daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Vollmer) Suttner. She attended St. Mary Catholic School of Hilbert and graduated with honors from Hilbert High School in 1934. During World War II, she was employed in bookkeeping at the Standard Oil Co. – Green Bay in gas rationing. She was employed at the State Bank of Hilbert for 34 years until her retirement in 1983.On August 20, 1938, she married Howard C. Sielaff at St. mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1984.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, brothers: Lester (Myrdith) Suttner, Roman (Dolores) Suttner, and Ambrose (Mae) Suttner.On August 1, 2001, she married Roman A. Frank at the St. Mary Church in Hilbert. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2004, as well as step-brothers: Allan (Marian) Frank, Harold Frank, and Robert Frank.She is survived by her step-children: Roger (Kay) Frank, Denver, CO, and Sharon Reichert, Lady Lake, IL; step-grandchildren: Debra (Larry) Richards, Emma (Paul) Gudenkauf, and Sandra (Josh) Stolte, all of Denver, CO, and Mike (Christine) Limbach, Mequon, WI, and Lisa Asmus, Clyman, WI; a special niece: Barbara Vollmer, her children and their families; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was a member of St. Mary Church in Hilbert all of her life and was involved in many of its ministries. She was a greeter, “Renew” facilitator, an RCIA leader, and had a small Bible study group at her home for almost 10 years. She helped organize a prayer chain, she was on the committee to organize its Perpetual Adoration Group, and was an Adorer since the beginning in 1997. She was a charter member of the Calumet Area Business and Professional Women until they disbanded and a member of the Daughters of Isabella of Chilton. She was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Christian Mothers and Altar Society. She was a member of Chilton Senior Citizens and an active member of the Legion of Mary Society of Chilton.She loved to dance, read, do word puzzles, crafts, and get together with friends and relatives. When able, she was a regular visitor with residents of assistant living facilities and nursing homes and usually brought them treats. She loved to reminisce with the elderly about the old days and fond memories.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 9:15 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home on the day of service. A committal service will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Hilbert following the funeral service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Barbara Vollmer for many years of loving care throughout Arlyne’s life, and within recent years, Shirley Roehrig, Karen Dohr, and Cindy H. a for their special friendship and loving care. A special thanks also to Rebekah and LeeAnn for their wonderful care provided to Arlyne in her last hours.
