Aubrey K. Koepke

Aubrey K. Koepke, 87, formerly
of Eldorado, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Tower View Villa, Rosendale.

 

He was born on April 8, 1928,
in Eldorado, a son of Charles and Minnie Hensel Koepke.

 

Aubrey served with the United
States Army from 1950-1952.  He was
stationed in Japan
during the Korean Conflict.

 

On November 27, 1954, he
married Myram L. Krueger.

 

Aubrey was a member of Peace Lutheran
Church
, Rosendale.  He was employed at Kiekhaefer Marine, and
retired from Giddings and Lewis after many years.  He was a member of the Giddings and Lewis
Oldsters.  Gardening and his lawn were
his passion, often sharing his vegetables with others.  He strived to be the first to mow his lawn in
the spring.

 

He is survived by two
sons:  Douglas (Patricia) Koepke of Eau
Claire and Bruce Koepke of Brandon; two
grandsons:  Aaron and Nicholas Koepke of Eau Claire; and a brother-in-law, Mike Hare of Fond du Lac.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents; his wife, Myram, on March 27, 2013; two sisters: Celesta (Bernard)
Commo and Elverda Hare; and a brother, Junior (Esther) Koepke.

 

A memorial service will be
held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Peace Lutheran
Church
, 124 South Main Street,
Rosendale, with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating.

 

The family will greet
relatives and friends on Tuesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of
service.

 

Burial will be in Rosendale Cemetery with American Legion
Trier-Puddy Post #75 conducting military rites.

 

The family would like to
thank the staff of Tower View Villa for their wonderful care, they were truly
Aubrey’s angels.
