Audrey R. Zoellner

Audrey R. Zoellner, 88, of Fond du Lac, entered eternal life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation with her daughter by her side. She was born in Fond du Lac on November 4, 1929, a daughter of Buford and Elizabeth (Donaldson) Abbs. On December 15, 1951, Audrey married her high school sweetheart, Donald A. Zoellner at Plymouth Congregation Church UCC in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2016.

Audrey was a graduate of Goodrich High School and attended UW-Madison. She worked for the Fond du Lac School District as a secretary and worked at Roberts School for many years. Audrey was a member of Pilgrim UCC in Fond du Lac. She loved to spend time with the people in her life that she loved and cared about. Audrey cherished visits from her grandchildren, daughter and family, and loved visiting with her neighbors. She was a loyal person and she wanted everyone to be treated fairly. Audrey loved children and her eyes would light up when she saw any “little one”. She loved holidays, family gatherings, cooking and baking.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Gary) Steier, and their children, Arianna, Jacob and Matthew, all of Chilton; sister, Betty Balthazor of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Alice Abbs of Elgin, IL; niece, Debbie (Jim) Pelky of West Bend; three nephews, Don (Kim) Abbs, Mike (Debbie) Abbs, and Steve (Carrie) Abbs, all of Illinois; and two great-nephews, Mike (Laura) Fryda of Omaha, NE and Jason (Natalie) Fryda of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Elizabeth; her husband of 64 years, Donald; and her brother, Donald Abbs.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Pilgrim UCC, 535 Stow St. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ted Drewsen officiating. Burial in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery will follow the services.
