Barbara A. Paskey

Barbara A. Paskey, 80, of
Waupun, died peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at her home.

 

Barbara was born December 6,
1934 in Beaver Dam the daughter of Herbert and Irene Griepentrog
Griesbach.  Barbara was a 1952 graduate
of Beaver Dam High School.  Following her
high school education, Barb attended Dodge County Teachers College where she
received her Teaching Certificate in 1954. 
On May 21, 1955 she married Carl Paskey at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church
in Beaver Dam.  Following their marriage
the couple resided in Waupun all their married lives.  Barb taught at country schools for two years
and then substitute taught at various schools in the area.  During her employment years she also worked
at Sand Knit Industry in Waupun, Ben Franklin Family Center in Waupun, and was
a receptionist at the office of Dr. Dean Lenz in Waupun.  Barb was a member of the Waupun Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun where she
was active with various church organizations.

 

Barbara is survived by four
children: Jodie (Lee) Sobrilsky of Beaver Dam, Jill (Tim) Vanderkin of Waupun,
Paul (Darcy) Paskey of Madison, and Julie (Craig) Bronkhorst of Waupun; ten
grandchildren: Jenny Sobrilsky, Rebekah Sobrilsky, Scott (Kara) Sobrilsky,
Jacob Vanderkin, Kyle Vanderkin, Libby Paskey, Ellen Paskey, and Carly,
Claiborn and Caden Bronkhorst; six great-grandchildren: Ben and Abby Sobrilsky,
Alex Sobrilsky, Isabella Sobrilsky, and Kaynen and Josslyn Sobrilsky; a sister,
Marlene Miller; and a brother, Ronald Griesbach.

 

She was preceded in death by
her husband, Carl Paskey in 1993; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law;
and a nephew.

 

Memorial services for Barbara
Paskey will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran
Church in Waupun with Rev. Lee Zortman officiating.  Friends and relatives may call on the family
on Tuesday at the church from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service.
