Beatrice C. Possin

Beatrice C. Possin, 90, of Waupun, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Prairie Ridge in Waupun.


Beatrice attended Juneau High School and graduated in 1946. On October 23, 1948 she married Lester Possin at Immanuel Lutheran Church in North Burnett. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the town of Burnett all their married lives. Beatrice was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in North Burnett where she played the organ, directed choir, was an active Ladies Aide member, and a member of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was a beautiful homemaker as she baked, made clothing, and enjoyed her family.


Beatrice is survived by her five children: Daniel (Jing) Possin of Seattle, WA, Robert L. (Dorothy) Possin of Brandon, Diane J. (Don) Rens of Fox Lake, Thomas M. (Debra) Possin of Lakeside, MT, and Jeff (Lil) Possin of rural Burnett; 17 grandchildren: Roget, Sarah, Erica, Gina, Jared, Megan, Jacob, Aaron, David, Nathan, Adam, Kelly, Tyler, Julia, Mason, Madelyn, and Conrad; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Louie Pautsch; sister-in-law, Edna Beske, and brother-in-law, Oris Possin.


Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; an infant daughter, Cindy; a son-in-law, Jack Hoinacki; a great-granddaughter, Brandy; a sister, Jean Kuenzi; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Pautsch and Elaine Possin; and brothers-in-law: Adelbert Kuenzi and Leonard Beske. Beatrice and Lester were married nearly 70 years and passed on within three months of each other.


Funeral services for Beatrice C. Possin will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Chaplain Kevin Spaeth officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service.


The family wants to thank Hometown Hospice and the caregivers at Prairie Ridge in Beaver Dam for their compassionate care.
