Betty J. Marx

Betty J. Marx, 94, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, March 5, 2021, at Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac.  She was born September 11, 1926, in La Crosse, the daughter of William and Mabel (Johnson) Faas.  Betty married Virgil Marx in 1933 and he preceded her in death. 

She enjoyed knitting and watching tennis. During her younger years, Betty also performed as a Singer in local Night Clubs given her love for music. She also grew up having a passion for the scenic view of La Crosse’s natural beauty of the Bluffs and the lakes/rivers. More importantly, Betty was devoted to her Faith as she attended church and integrated within her community building relationships and close bonds.

She is survived by one son, Robert (Eydie) Marx of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Jon (Michelle) Marx, Christopher Marx, Ted Marx, Rob (Noelle) Millay, Laura Liebelt, Ryan Liebelt, Jonathan (Dawn) Liebelt, Matthew (Adeline) Liebelt, and Michael Liebelt; many great grandchildren. Her siblings include: Bob Faas (deceased) married to Betty, William Faas Jr., Beverly married to Jim Hanson, Marlene married to Don Horstman, and Helen Dolly (deceased) married to Bill Grapes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil; daughter-in-law, Roberta Marx; and siblings,

A private family celebration will be held.  Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park in La Crosse, WI.
