Betty J. Walser

Betty Jane Walser, 90, of Fond du Lac, peacefully entered eternal life on Tuesday,
March 27, 2018, at St. Francis Home.

 

She was born on November 21,
1927, in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of Carl E. and Mabel L.
Korth Pelzer.  She graduated High School in
Jefferson Cty, WI and received her Bachelor of Science Degree, Occupational
Therapy from UW Madison.  She married
Verlyn Raymond Walser on June 18, 1949 in the Town of Oakland, Jefferson Cty, WI.  She and Verlyn started their family in Middleton, WI, moved to Fond Du Lac, and later retired in San Benito, TX.  He preceded her in death on May 6, 1988.

 

Betty worked as an
Occupational Therapist at St. Agnes Hospital.  She was a member of Order of Eastern Star of
Middleton, WI and Lakeside Twirler’s Square Dance Club of Fond du Lac.  She lived her life to the fullest crafting,
sewing, and entertaining.  She created
and gifted thousands of Christmas cards, holiday décor, and table favors. She sewed
gowns, did upholstery, cooked, printed recipe books and brochures for many events.

 

She is survived by four
children: John (Emmie) Walser of Shannon, MS, Richard Walser of Fond du Lac,
Steven Walser of Fond du Lac and Mary (Henry) Lavrenz of Fond du Lac; five
grandchildren: Angela Tucker, Brett (Shelby) Walser, David (Colleen) Walser,
Dan (Rena) Lavrenz and Katelyn Lavrenz; four great-grandchildren: Charles
Tucker, Brandon Knudson, Shay Lavrenz and Noah Lavrenz and one great-great-grandchild
Elizabeth Tucker.

 

She is preceded in death by
her parents and her husband, Verlyn.

 

Betty’s family would like to
thank her friend Barbara Hartl, Sister Marianna, and the staff at St. Francis
Home
for the compassionate care they
provided Betty.

 

A visitation will be held on
April 22, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and a memorial service to follow at 4:00
p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel, 31
