Betty Jean (Williams) Bowers

Betty Jean (Williams) Bowers passed away unexpectedly at the age of 86 on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Artisan Memory Care in Fond du Lac, WI. Betty was born on May 15, 1929 to Claude and Willie Josephine (Long) Williams in Chandler, OK.  She owned and operated Ace Printers in Ada, OK from 1980 to 1984 and worked at Brockway Glass in Ada from 1985 until 1989.  Betty moved to Stillwater, OK in 1990 to be closer to her children.  In 1994 she was a secretary for the McAnnally and Banks Law Firm in Stillwater, OK until she retired in 2004.  Betty enjoyed flowers and gardening, music and dancing, reading and traveling with Marv.  She was a homebody and loved her family.

 
Betty is survived by her son Robert (Carol) Rogers of Stillwater, OK, two daughters:  Susan (Brian) Richardson of Oklahoma City, OK and Sharman (Brad) Moser of Fond du Lac, WI, six grandchildren:  Hilary (Rob Gould) Rogers, Nathan Rogers, Rennie (Emily) Nickell and Ryan (Taylor) Nickell, Jeremy (Shelley) Allison and Chris (Mary Jane) Allison, 12 great grandchildren, one brother Leonard (Fern) Williams of Chandler, OK, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.  
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Race Presley, one sister Margaret (Russell) Love and special friend Marvin Hasenfratz.  

 

Cremation has taken place by Twohig Funeral Home.  A memorial and graveside service will be held at Chandler Memorial Cemetery in Chandler, OK in the Spring of 2016.
