Beverly Jean Koenigs

Beverly Jean Koenigs, 89 of Campbellsport went to her heavenly home on Friday Sept. 19, 2014 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. She was born on July 16, 1925 in Trempealeau the daughter of Grant and Jane (nee Anderson) Pahl. Beverly graduated from Arcadia High School in 1942. She attended the University of Wisconsin, with the escalation of WW II she moved to Milwaukee and worked at an ammunition plant. There she met Marquette student and Navy Pilot Richard Koenigs. They were married on March 12, 1945 in Arcadia. 



After the war they moved to Campbellsport and Beverly managed Koenigs Wearing Apparel until the early 60’s. Upon sale of the business, she was employed as a US Postal Clerk. In 1970 she started her career with the Internal revenue Service; retiring in 1985. Many winters were enjoyed during her retirement in Nalcrest, Florida. Beverly was an avid sports fan, outdoor enthusiast and a member of many bridge clubs. 



She is survived by her children Bonnie (Ron) Tagliapietra of Lomira, Kristie (Jim) Meyer of Campbellsport, Tim (Kathy) Koenigs of Waukesha and Dean (Peggy) Koenigs of Clarendon Hills, IL, her grandchildren Todd (Nicole) Meyer, Jason Meyer, Gina (Andy) Nicoli, Tony (Lisa) Tagliapietra, Kristy (John) White, Laura Koenigs, Michael Koenigs, Kevin Koenigs, Heather Koenigs and Jackie Koenigs, 11 great grandchildren, her brother Gary (Dennie) Pahl, her sister-in-law Ruth Michels, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Chuck Pahl and his wife Joy, former husband Richard Koenigs, brother-in-law Ted Koenigs and his wife Arleen, sister-in-law Flora Brunkhorst and her husband Bob, brother-in-law Dale Michels and special friend Joe Carter. 



A Mass of Christian Burial will be Sunday Sept. 28, 2014 at 5:00 PM at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. John Radetski will officiate and inurnment will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery in Arcadia at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday Sept. 28th from 3:30 PM until time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Campbellsport Public Library or Agnesian Hospice Hope. 



The family extends a special thank you to the staff at St. Francis Home and Agnesian Hospice Hope for the extraordinary care that was given Beverly.
