Bill Kairis

Bill “Wild Man” Kairis, 70, of Fond du Lac left his earthly existence on December 3, 2020 for another Big Baseball Field in the sky and adventure in the House of Our Lord.

Bill was born July 6, 1950, in Berlin, WI, the son of Ethel (Duley) Kairis and John Kairis, as the youngest member of the family.

“Wild Man” graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy class of 1968, went to UW Fond du Lac and ultimately found his niche selling cars. He was renowned as a Corvette salesman and loved driving them too. In his earlier years, baseball was his passion. Bill loved the Brewers and Packers and going to the games. Bill owned Kairis Car Company and if you needed a vehicle, Bill would find just what you were looking for.

He is survived by his brother, Bob (Darlene) Kairis of Winneconne; sister, Dorothy (Kairis) McCrory of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins, aunts and uncles. A great friend, Don Boyd of Ripon; gave him ultimate support, care, and friendship during his illness. Thank you, Don.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Ken Grunwald; brothers, Tony and Kenneth; brother-in-law, Bob McCrory; two nephews, Jim and Michael Kairis; and his dog, ShuShu.

Bill’s family will greet friends and relatives for a visitation on Wednesday December 9, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 East Division Street in Fond du Lac. A funeral service will follow visitation at 4:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.

Guess he will have to get used to wings instead of wheels! May you find peace Bill.
