Billie F. Conrad

Billie
“Bill” F. Conrad, 80, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2017 at Hospice Home
of Hope. Bill was born in Carmi, IL to Edward and Emma (Deppenmeier) Conrad on August
28, 1937. He graduated from Oakfield High School in 1955. Bill married Suzanne
Gross on March 19, 1960 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. They
celebrated 57 years of marriage this year.

Bill was
employed at Rueping Leather for 22 years and then at Mercury Marine for 23
years until his retirement. Bill enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, and
bowling. He loved watching military history on television. Bill looked forward
to his daily morning trip to the PDQ for a newspaper and scratch-off
crosswords.

Bill loved
his furry black cat and faithful companion, Spook. More than anything, he loved
and was very proud of his children and his grandsons.

Bill is
survived by his loving wife, Sue; four children Cindy (Tom) Bartz of Wausau,
WI, Cathy (Lee) Mikle of Fond du Lac, WI, Rick Conrad of North Fond du Lac, WI
and Patty Conrad of Waukegan, IL and four grandsons Ryan and Matthew Mikle, and
Nate (Jess) and Chris Bartz. Bill is further survived by brothers Mike (Linda)
and Larry and one sister Norma (Daniel) Betz; his mother-in-law Anne Gross and
one sister-in-law Phyllis (Pat) Clochesy.

Bill was
preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law Richard Gross, sister-in-law
Sally Marshall and brother-in-law Gene (Darlene) Gross.

Visitation:
Bill’s family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2017
at Faith Lutheran Church, 55 Prairie Road, Fond du Lac, from 12:00 to 1:45 PM.

Service: A
memorial service will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 PM following visitation
at Faith Lutheran Church.

In lieu of
flowers, memorials to Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope or Faith Lutheran Church are
encouraged.
